Professional Circle
The professional circle is presented to professional Scouters for completion of the professional training program, tenure, and performance.
Tenure
Professional tenure of at least four years
Training
Successfully attend all three sessions of the Professional Executive Institute (PEI)
Performance
Completion of any three of the following advance courses:

People Management - Part 1.
-
People Management - Part 2.
-
People Management - Part 3.
-
Wood Badge or National Camping School.

Any BSA course(s), including but not limited to, those through the Professional Development Division, Finance Division, or Philmont Training Center.

One non-BSA course that is job related, consisting of at least 15 classroom hours, taken during professional tenure.
Fellowship Honor
This award may be earned by completing the following requirements:

Complete the requirements for and be awarded the processional circle.

Complete 2 additional courses beyond the 3 required for the professional circle

Receive prior approval of a fellowship thesis based on council, district, or division operations problems with a detailed resolution of the problem. This must be reviewed and accepted by the council executive and the professional development division.
Recipients wear the Boy Scout device on the professional Training award knot. This is a rare award.
